Lessons will enhance enjoyment and increase everyone’s safety on the hill. They are highly recommended for all kinder-ski and junior members. Adults new to the alpine world are encouraged to register for our Tuesday evening sessions. MMSC lesson rates are the best in the Valley!
For its members, MMSC offers ski and snowboard lessons for Adults (19+) and Juniors (8-18), and ski lessons for Juniors (6-18) and KinderSki (4&5). Detailed descriptions of the lesson programs are given below. Lessons will be cancelled if hill conditions are unsafe. Students or their guardians are expected to check for cancellation announcements that will be recorded on the Snowphone (613-584-2809).
The cut-off date for registration in the lessons programs is Saturday, December 30th. Registrations after this date will be considered a private lesson and will be coordinated accordingly.
KinderSki (Age 4-5)
We will again offer the popular KinderSki program. Children aged 4 & 5 (as of 31 December) will receive 4 one-hour lessons at MMSC. In this special program, there will be no more than 2 students per instructor. Lessons will begin Friday, January 12th, 2018 but is weather dependent.
Junior (Age 6-18)
Junior ski and snowboard lessons are offered on Friday evenings (age 11-18 only) and Saturdays (ski age 6-18, snowboard 8-18). The 4 one-hour lessons will begin Friday, January 12th 2018 and Saturday, January 13th, 2018 . Children under 6 can join in the junior lesson program if they can ski and use the T-bar without assistance. The Junior program consists of a lesson series at the MMSC hill in Deep River for students 6 years of age and older (as of Decemeber 31).
The adult ski and snowboard lesson program consists of 4 one-hour lessons commencing Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 at 7:00 pm.
Private (one student) or semi-private (two or more students) lesson can be very beneficial for new skiers/boarders and/or those wishing to polish up their skills.

One hour lessons are $25 for private lessons and $15 per person for semi-private (2 or more students). Non-members must purchase a day pass to take private/semi-private lessons.
